Who would imagine that a "stopdizziness.com, you don't have to live with it? radio advertisement would change what I have been experiencing for the past 5 years. Since a vacation back in July 2001, my sense of balance has been off kilter. It may not have been visible to the general public, but I always felt internally as if I had just gotten off a very rough boat ride.
Since 2001, I have tried very many different medications to help with the imbalance sensation and sought out the advice of many different professionals. I saw my doctor, a neurologist, ENT & the neurologist again. The neurologist told me, after a cat and a MRI was done, that I would have to "live with it" and that my symptoms would go away in approximately a year.
Then in July 2006, my niece turned on her car radio and heard the very end of NDBC's advertisement. She called and told me about it. I visited their web site and after reading about the good results they have had in the past, I gave them a call. I was told, that since I was an out-of-state patient, I could have the various tests done and seen by the doctor all in the same day - 8/7/06. In the frequently asked questions section of NDBC's web site, it explained that continuity of patient care is what makes the NDBC program so successful since a doctor, audiologist and physical therapist are on staff in the same facility.
Words cannot express the sincere gratitude I have towards the entire staff at NDBC. Everyone is so very friendly! From the moment I first walked in the front door, I felt they were going to do everything in their power to improve the way I felt. To heather (front office), stephanie (physical therapist), Dr. Nancy Richardson, and Mark (audiologist), you are all the greatest! I am so thankful that NDBC was willing to work with my physical therapist here in South Dakota. I couldn't have gotten better so quickly, if it hadn't been for everyone's support and encouragement.
God answered my prayers through my niece and NDBC. It is true - YOU DON'T HAVE TO LIVE WITH IT!
