Vestibular system

Dizziness of vestibular (inner ear) orgin are responsible for about 50% of dizziness cases in patients today. The vestibular system is a very complex and sensitive system. When someone develops a dizziness or balance problem, the vestibular system in many cases is the cause. In order to effectively treat one of these conditions, it's important to understand how the vestibular system functions and its degree of integration with our other balance systems. This is a crucial point of understanding in order to effectively diagnose and treat these types of conditions.

We have complied a list of the most common dizziness and balance conditions due to vestibular dysfunction that we see in our clinics for you to review and research. We encourage you to review these conditions briefly before you come to our clinic and write down any of you the symptoms you experience to better aid our doctor in accurately diagnosing your condition.
