Dr. Leisz obtained her medical degree from the College of Osteopathic Medicine at Michigan State University, East Lansing Michigan in 1994. Dr. Leisz completed her residency program at the University of Minnesota in Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation in 1998.
Her specialties in Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation include:lower extremity dysfunction including gait and balance disorders, rehabilitation for Parkinson's disease and other movement disorders, sports injury rehabilitation, lymphedema rehabilitation, and management of amputees and prosthetics.
Dr. Leisz was an assistant professor at the University of Minnesota in the Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation department from 1998 to 2006. She currently is also a staff physician at Sister Kenny Rehabilitation Institute at United Hospital in St. Paul.
