medication use regarding testing

Please Read Carefully: Failure to follow directions could result in your test being rescheduled.
 

For 48 hours before your scheduled diagnostic testing appointment, DO NOT take any medication (or any generic form) falling into the listed categories below. For each category, a few common medications are listed. If you are unsure about any of the medications you are currently taking and whether they should be stopped for your diagnostic tests, please call our office.

** VITAL MEDICATIONS SHOULD NOT BE STOPPED! **
Patients should continue to use heart medications, antibiotics, blood pressure medications, anticoagulants, birth control pills, and diabetic medications. If you are currently taking one aspirin a day (81mg or 325mg) for your heart or stroke prevention, please continue your daily treatment.
